The Tanoa Tusitala Hotel is one of the many hotels involved with S.I.D.S.
But the management and staff members will cherish a special memory from S.I.D.S.and that is they hosted the most important delegate at the conference, the United Nations Secretary General, Tupua Ban Ki-moon.
Having arrived from Indonesia on Saturday on a private jet funded by Indonesia’s government. Tupua was immediately checked in to his suite at the Sogi based hotel.
“The Conference was opened by the United Nations Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-moon, who also stayed with us at the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel, a very proud moment for all of us,” a statement issued by the Hotel.
“Mr. Ban Ki-moon was generous enough with his time to have photographs taken with the Tanoa team and Chairman of the Tanoa Hotel Group Mr. Yanktesh Reddy (YP) Reddy”. For Mr. Reddy, he said the people of Samoa have every reason to feel proud.
“The Government and People of the Independent State of Samoa can rightfully be incredibly proud of the way it has showcased its beautiful people and culture to the International Community” he said.
“I am very glad we have been able to assist with the SIDS 2014 conference, and I am also very proud of the hospitality and professionalism shown by all of the Management and Staff of the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel”.
